Simone Biles is undoubtedly the greatest gymnast of all time. In the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, she had a tough time as she struggled with her mental health. Gymnastics fans wondered if she would ever return to the sport she dominated for so many years. She chose to come back to international competition, rather fittingly, in Antwerp, where she won her first World titles ten years ago.

In some ways, Biles was the same gymnast she has always been. She performed insanely difficult routines and executed them to a very high standard. She supported her teammates during their routines. The main difference was the unbridled joy on her face, particularly in her floor routines. It seemed like she returned to gymnastics because it is what she loves to do and consequently she has let go of the pressure weighing on her. Biles also discussed how beneficial attending regular therapy sessions has been for her.

Biles added another four gold medals to her overflowing collection as she led the American Team to gold and individually won titles the All-around, the beam and the floor. She did not have everything her own way though. In the vault final, she first performed her own skill, a double pike somersault, and sat down on landing. Brazilian gymnast and 2022 World All-around Champion Rebecca Andrade did two brilliant vaults with two fantastic landings, and rightly won the gold. Incredibly, Biles held on to the silver medal due to the huge difficulty of her two vaults.

At the beginning of the men’s All-around final, it looked like Japanese star Daiki Hashimoto might succumb to the pressure from his country. He stumbled through his floor routine and appeared to be very stressed, but he managed to regain his composure. The second half of the competition included two of Hashimoto’s best apparatus, the vault and the parallel bars, and he climbed up the leaderboard. The final apparatus for Hashimoto’s group was the high bar, a piece on which you have to take risks to get big rewards. Hashimoto performed a daring routine filled with huge releases and he always caught the bar again. His score of 14.5 secured the gold medal. Ukrainian gymnast Illia Kovtun won the silver medal, which was very popular with the crowd. Nineteen-year-old American Fred Richard held on to the bronze medal despite falling off the high bar.

After a record-breaking World Championships in Liverpool last year, expectations were high for the British team. Ultimately, there were a lot of disappointing results. The men’s team came forth while the women’s team came sixth. Unfortunately, in the warm up for the women’s all-around final, the star of the team Jessica Gadirova felt pain in her leg, so she pulled out of all of her finals. Gadirova later revealed that the injury was an ACL tear, which makes her chances of being able to compete at the Paris Olympics very small. There was further disappointment in the men’s pommel horse final as double Olympic Champion Max Whitlock fell off half way through his routine. He had performed the routine to a very high standard earlier in the week and his score from the team final would have won the gold.

Luckily, Jake Jarman saved the championship from being a complete disaster for the British team. He qualified for the vault final in eighth place. When it was his turn, he made the most difficult vault of the final, a somersault with three and a half twists, look easy. His slightly simpler vault did not have such a good landing but it was still enough for him to claim the gold medal. Jarman became the first British World Champion on vault aged only 21.

Simone Biles has added another gold to her collection.

Biles earned a 14.800 score on her balance beam routine at Sunday’s World Championships, narrowly defeating China’s Zhou Yaqin.

The gold is Biles’ third at the 2023 World Championships and gives her a record 36 total medals between the worlds and Olympic Games.

Her triumph in Antwerp has been nothing short of amazing. At age 26, she already became the oldest woman to win a U.S. championship earlier this year and is setting all kinds of American age records at the worlds.

The return to the world stage was anything but given at her age and especially after a two-year hiatus following the 2021 Summer Olympics. She dealt with a mental health block known colloquially as the “twisties,” which leave gymnasts unable to properly control themselves in the air.

Following the Olympics, it appeared more likely that Biles would retire than return to international competition—let alone return to her perch as the best in the world.

Instead, it appears the break was just what she needed. Biles has been dominant since her return to the sport and has locked herself in as a favorite to add more gold medals to her mantle next summer in Paris.

Simone Biles is showing support for her husband in style.

On Thursday, the Olympic gold medalist, 26, shared a short video on her Instagram story flashing her fresh set of green painted nails which matched her husband Jonathan Owens’ Green Bay Packers’ green jersey.

“Forgot to post earlier so a little grown out but……,” Biles wrote in her caption. Tagging nail artist Kiwi, Biles turned her hand around before opening up her palms to reveal another angle of her nails.

NEWS:-Simone Biles’ weekly gift from husband Jonathan Owens still thrills her

The star’s nail update comes after she shared snaps of her husband while stating that she missed him due to their long distance relationship.

“Miss you,” Biles wrote over the image as she gushed over Owens, who’s playing in Wisconsin for his team’s NFL season.

In the snap, Owens looked relaxed as he wore a pair of black sunglasses and a gray t-shirt. Biles then shared another photo of the two in a mirror selfie.

The gymnast tied the knot with her Green Bay Packers strong safety husband, 28, earlier this year. “I do 🤍 officially owens 🤍,” she wrote in her caption back in April while sharing a carousel of photos of herself and Owens on their wedding day.

In the snaps, the couple displayed beaming smiles as they exchanged vows in what appeared to be a courthouse wedding. Meanwhile, Biles was dressed in a tiered white gown, while Owens wore a tan suit.

“My person, forever ❤️💍,” Owens wrote in his Instagram caption as he shared snaps of their day,”#TheOwens #ItsOfficial.”

The pair met on the dating app Raya in March 2020, before getting engaged in February 2022.

“THE EASIEST YES,” Biles wrote in a carousel post of their engagement at the time. “I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more! let’s get married FIANCÉ 💍🥺🥲🤎 @jowens_3.”

Gymnastics star Simone Biles is very active on social media at the moment and is sharing constant updates about her life with husband Jonathan Owens.

The duo got married earlier in 2023 and are clearly extremely devoted to one another, as they are currently building a house together.

Owens is a strong safety for the Green Bay Packers and being in the NFL means that he is travelling all over the country each month. Despite that, he has still managed to ensure that Biles gets the same gift each week.

She shared an Instagram story which showed a huge bouquet of flowers and the accompanying message: “These showed up at the doorstep, he still makes sure I get flowers weekly even though he’s 1,000 miles away. Best husband.”

Despite being so far away, Owens had made the necessary arrangements for Biles to get her flowers.

The new home in Texas

Biles recently took to Instagram to offer a glimpse of the ongoing construction of their future Texas abode.

The tour she shared started with an image of a section of the home’s facade, wrapped in protective house coverings.

She couldn’t contain her excitement as she captioned it, “Tiles are in!!!!!!!”

In a series of photos posted to Biles’ Instagram Story, she gave her followers an update on their home’s construction.

The gymnast then revealed that the “frames for the sliding doors are in,” giving us a glimpse of the interior with bare wooden beams taking shape.

Another photo unveiled their “favorite view,” which featured their future home situated beside a serene body of water, embraced by lush greenery.

Simone Biles has an important message for fans.

The champion gymnast, 26, shared some encouraging words of wisdom with her followers as she posted two new selfies on Instagram Friday.

“Don’t worry bout fitting in when you custom made 🖤,” Simone wrote in her caption. In the photos, she gave a slight smile to the camera as she sported a natural make-up look while sitting indoors.

Elsewhere on her Instagram Story, Simone posted a photo of herself enjoying frozen margaritas with her younger sister, Adria Biles. “Sister sister 💕,” she captioned the picture.

Simone snapped Adria, 24, smiling in a kitchen as the pair raised their glasses together.

Simone previously spoke about taking on a motherly role with Adria — who was her bridesmaid at her two weddings in April and May — when they were in foster care as children.

“I wanted to take care of Adria obviously because she was the baby,” Simone said of Adria, as she discussed their close bond on her Facebook Watch series, Simone vs. Herself. “I just felt like I needed to look out for her because if family doesn’t look out for you, who’s going to?”

Simone entered the foster care system with her sister at the age of 3, as their biological mom couldn’t take care of them due to her drug and alcohol addiction.

Simone Biles

The siblings were eventually adopted by their maternal grandparents after three years in foster care.

Biles’ latest posts come after she opened up about her changed perspective on gymnastics earlier this week, after becoming the most decorated gymnast in history following her performance at the World Gymnastics Championships.

Speaking on the Today show on Thursday, Biles said, “Gymnastics is just something I get to come in and have the privilege of doing. I don’t feel like it’s the end all be all anymore, as before I kind of felt like that. I get to go home to my husband, to my dogs, to my house, and all of the things. So it feels really good.”

She then hinted that she is now focused on supporting her husband and Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens, as she wore a sparkly necklace with the name “Owens” on the show.

“It’s been really fun supporting what he loves to do,” the seven-time Olympic medalist said. “Obviously, he’s in Green Bay right now, so my season just ended. I’m super excited to get out there to Green Bay for the holidays to support him.”

Raised in an unorthodox household with parents who were addicted, Simone Biles became a great sports icon. She moved between foster homes before being adopted by her grandparents(whom she now calls her parents). Adria Biles, her younger sister, stayed by her side and shared her struggles throughout these turbulent times, providing each other with a continual sense of support and encouragement. Together, the sisters grew into the best versions of themselves, loving and protecting one another.

Always by Simone’s side at girls’ get-togethers and family occasions which many of Simone’s followers must have noticed. Fresh off a victorious global meet, the 26-year-old gymnast spared some time hanging with her sister, sharing updates with her fans.
When Simone arrived home after becoming the most decorated gymnast in international competitions, her sister Adria was the first to greet her with a present. The younger sister went overboard to record a sweet message coupled with nature’s best gift. The Biles girls got together while Simone shared a story of Adria posing for the camera in her home and captioned it, “sister sister” with a double pink heart emoji. The boomerang showed Adria with closed eyes and a big smile cheering their drinks glass.
Following her return from the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships Adria posted an emotional Instagram post for her sister. Inside a gorgeous clear case marked “PRESSED FLORAL, a sentiment to last forever,” the well-preserved white hydrangeas sent a sentimental message while expressing the sisters’ close relationship. Upon her return, Simone posed with the framed bouquet, sporting a big smile happy with her unique gift.
However, just like any other sibling bond, they are also marked with some shenanigans and leg-pulling. While on a sushi date earlier this year, the girls had different takes on the Japanese treat. While Adria shared, “I think people who enjoy sushi are LYING,” Simone seemed to be enjoying it.
Adria teased her food choices by implying in her humorous caption that her older sister was part of the purported global sushi fandom. Despite seeing Adria around, not many know about her own athletic journey.

Living under the same roof since childhood, the two sisters, only a few years apart, had similar upbringings raising the potential that Adria Biles may become a professional gymnast like her sister Simone. When she was nine years old, she started gymnastics and worked her way up to the junior elite level before deciding to give up on the sport. In fact, Adria used to train with Simone until 2016. Adria changed careers last year, going from her sister’s sports to one in dental assisting and cleanliness.

Alongside her dentistry, Adria also performed at the exciting MLB game at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas as a part of the Houston Astros Shooting Stars dancing ensemble during home games. The Biles sisters have now discovered their own route in life after maturing into resilient adults who continuously rely on one another.

In the world of sports and entertainment, the influence of pop icon Taylor Swift has proven to be extraordinary, extending beyond music and reaching into the realms of sports fandom and even fashion.

Notably, her presence at the NFL games of her new partner, Travis Kelce, has had a significant impact.

The Kansas City Chiefs star saw a surge in the sales of his jerseys as a result of Swift‘s attendance at his games.

Furthermore, the prices of tickets to matches at Arrowhead Stadium, where Taylor Swift was rumored to be present, reached astonishing heights.

The phenomenon of Swift‘s influence on the sports world is not limited to her partner’s games, as she has also been spotted with various sports and entertainment figures.

For instance, she has been photographed with Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is a prominent entrepreneur and lifestyle figure.

Swift‘s social circle expands to Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, further demonstrating her ability to bridge the divide between entertainment and sports.

Simone Biles wants to meet Taylor Swift

Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, who is married to Jonathan Owens, a safety for the Green Bay Packers, is a regular attendee at the Wisconsin team’s games.

Biles was asked on ‘The Today Show’ about a potential encounter between Swift and herself at the upcoming Packers vs Chiefs game.

“I actually will be going to that game,” she replied, confirming she could try to meet the pop idol.

Despite the excitement surrounding this potential meeting, fans will have to be patient, as it is not scheduled until December 3.

Both Swift and Biles are currently on hiatus, with the former taking a break ahead of the international leg of her Eras Tour and with the latter resting after an impressive showing at the World Championships.

They don’t give out medals for verbal gymnastics, but if they did, one Republican congressman might have taken the gold based on his CNN interview on Wednesday.

Amazingly, Rep. Austin Scott (R-Ga.) tried to blame the current House speaker debacle on Democrats, even though Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz masterminded the effort to removeRep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) from the job.

In the process, he engaged in what anchor Brianna Keilar called “verbal gymnastics” in an attempt to do what members of his party have done recently: blame the opposite party for a situation started and exacerbated by his Republican colleagues.

“The Democrats knew what they were doing when they put up 208 votes to take him out of the speakership, and that’s what created the current situation,” said Scott, who briefly made a run at speaker himself.

Keilar noted, “They didn’t take him out of the speakership. [The Republicans] are the majority.”

“Just factually speaking, there were only eight Republicans and there were 208 Democrats,” Scott said, while ignoring the vote to remove McCarthy came at the behest of those eight Republicans.

Keilar pressed him: “But sir, who’s in the majority?”

“Well, the Democrats were the majority of that vote,” he said, ignoring her point that Republicans currently have a slim majority of the House.

“No,” Keilar said. “Who’s in the majority in the House of Representatives?”

Simone Biles’

“The Republicans are in the majority,” Scott conceded. “But Democrats provided the majority of the votes to take Kevin McCarthy out of the speakership.”

Keilar pointed out that “the Republicans provided the key votes” and added, “They’re in the majority. They can provide enough votes, obviously, to put a Republican speaker in place.”

Scott doubled down, noting that Democrats provided 96% of the votes to remove McCarthy, at which point Keilar referred to what he was saying as “some interesting verbal gymnastics.”

He wasn’t happy to be called out.

“What do you mean? I’m just calling out the facts,” Scott said, before once again noting the large number of Democratic votes to remove McCarthy.

“I’m talking about how it works,” Keliar explained to the congressman, before offering a civics lesson. “And that is, the majority in the House of Representatives ― your party ― is responsible for electing the speaker, not the Democrats.”

Although Scott may be the Simone Biles of verbal gymnastics, his comments didn’t get much support from the judges on X, formerly known as Twitter — including former Republican congressman Joe Walsh, who chastised Scott for not taking responsibility for the speakership debacle.

Simone Biles is back in the gym!

The gymnastics champion, 26, posted a selfie of her in the middle of a training session on Tuesday, just over a week after her winning turn at the World Gymnastics Championships in Belgium earlier this month.

In the Instagram Stories snap, Biles pouted at the camera as she posed inside a gym. She wore a black and white leotard and a couple of sweatbands on each wrist.

“Back at it,” Biles wrote on the selfie.

Other photos in the carousel included a fresh-faced selfie of Biles as she sat on a bed in a hotel room. Another photo showed the champion flashing a big grin as she stood by a wall wearing her gymnastics outfit.

Additional photos from the trip included one of Biles holding a glass of a fruity beverage and another of a chalk bowl with notes with words of affirmation stuck on it that read, “You’re awesome,” as well as, “And you’re doing great.”

Biles became the most decorated gymnast of all time this month after winning 34 medals across world championships and Olympics — including her sixth all-round world championship gold in Belgium.

On Friday, the champion shared her reaction to having a fifth gymnastics skill being named after her following her record-breaking title.
