Charlie Woods and his dad, Tiger, were back on the course together on Friday at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando. The father-son duo is set to compete in this weekend’s PNC Championship for the third time and kicked things off with the Pro-Am.

They arrived in style wearing matching sweaters, black pants and black hats.

After getting to the course, Charlie and Tiger hit the driving range. The younger Woods’ swing is a thing of beauty, just as his father’s was and is.

Charlie, who is only 14 years old, out-drove Tiger earlier this year. As a result, he is playing from the third-longest tees at the event, which also features an 11-year-old and an 87-year-old.

In addition, Charlie rolled his ankle on the driving range and was clearly playing through the injury.

“His ankle’s not exactly — well, it’s better than mine,” Tiger joked during the post-round press conference. “We’ll be ready come game time tomorrow.”

Neither the lengthy tees nor the ankle injury stopped Charlie from smoking the ball.

Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods

Even as the day went on, Charlie’s injured ankle led him to look just like Tiger, who continues to recover from a near-fatal car accident in February of 2023. While it was purely coincidental, the way that Charlie reacted to the ankle injury during his backswing was nearly identical to his dad on the back nine of his third round at Augusta back in April.

The same can be said for their visible limps.

Every single thing that Charlie did on the course was just like Tiger. The apple does not fall far from the tree and even the elder Woods said that he can’t believe how similar they are sometimes.

Amidst all of the injuries, cameras and chaos, Tiger and Charlie were simply out enjoying a father-son round of golf and it was really fun to watch. As the two played out their afternoon, a cool moment was captured on camera.

Tiger filmed Charlie during his drive and took the opportunity to teach him a thing or two about how he can improve. To get such an up-close and personal glimpse at their relationship was pretty special.

Team Woods will tee off last at the PNC Championship on Saturday. They will be paired with Justin Thomas and his father Mike when they take the first tee at 12:17pm ET.

It’s another win for Charlie Woods as dad Tiger Woods is spotted ahead of US Open.

Tiger Woods was spotted out on the golf course watching his young cub Charlie Woods chalk up another victory on the Hurricane Junior Tour at the weekend.

Charlie, competing in the Boys 14-15 Division, won by a commanding eight strokes in the 36-hole tournament in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.

He shot a total of 1-under par, finishing well clear of Noah Manly on 7-over par.

Luke Friend finished third on 8-over par.

Charlie’s father Tiger Woods is an investor of the Hurricane Junior Tour.

Woods, who remains on the sidelines since undergoing ankle surgery after The Masters, was spotted sat in a golf cart watching his son in action.

Charlie Woods

The former World No.1 last competed at Augusta National but was forced out through injury during his third round.

He then underwent a “successful” ankle surgery”.

The latest photo of Woods in a cart was posted by Ella_Golf_ on Instagram and then shared by the popular TWLegion account on Twitter.

Taking a closer look at the snap of Woods, and you can see he is still wearing a boot.

Woods will not be competing in next week’s US Open and he will more than likely be out of The Open at Royal Liverpool in July, too.

It is believed Woods is more than likely going to miss the rest of the PGA Tour season, but that is yet to be confirmed.

It also remains to be seen whether Woods will have any team presence at the Ryder Cup this September.

Woods will be hopeful of being able to tee it up with Charlie in the annual father-son PNC Championship in December.

Fifteen-time major champion Tiger Woods was recently spotted playing golf at the Florida Golf Club with his son Charlie. The duo played a few shots last Saturday, August 19.

A golf fan account @tiendogolf posted a video of them from the golf course on his Tiktok account. In the clip, Tiger was playing golf while his son was waiting for his turn.

Tiger Woods last played at the Masters earlier this year and has been away from the golf course due to his injuries. He underwent ankle surgery soon after the major tournament in April.

His leg seemed fine as it was evidenced in the video shared by the fan on TikTok, giving hope to the people that he will soon be back on the golf course.

TWLEGION reshared the video on its Twitter account with a caption saying:

“Tiger hits the course to watch son Charlie. Golf clothes on. The comeback continues.”

Fans jumped into the comments section to talk about Woods’ comeback. A fan wrote:

“Soon.”

“Celebrating TW golf attire. It’s a win, I reckon? Lol,” another one wrote.

We’re on to the Hero,” another fan reckoned.

Earlier this month, Tiger Woods was spotted walking fine at a junior championship while he was cheering for Charlie in Florida.

Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods

Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods might play at the 2023 PNC Championship

The legendary golfer enjoys playing golf with his 14-year-old son. He never misses an opportunity to cheer for him or practice a few shots with him.

Tiger played in the previous three editions of the PNC Championship and finished second once. Last year, the American developed plantar fasciitis before the tournament but still played in the competition. Possibly, he will return to with compete his son at this year’s PNC Championship, which will take place in December.

In 2020, Tiger Woods spoke about playing with Charlie in an interview with PGA Tour. Woods said that he really can’t describe the experience of sharing the golf course with his son in words. For him, it’s memories to cherish for a lifetime.

“I don’t think words can describe it. Just the fact that we were able to have this experience together, Charlie and I. It’s memories for a lifetime,” he said.

The American golfer went on to explain how he was when he was of Charlie’s age. Tiger added:

“Well, I didn’t have speed like that at that age. I was probably a little bit taller than Charlie is at that same age. I was skinny as a rail. I looked like a 1-iron. The way we move, the way we push off or — sorry, the way he pushes off, or how I used to push off, very similar.”

Tiger Woods’ appearance on the golf field has piqued the interest of fans. However, Tiger stated last year that he would only play in major events, and all four majors were completed last month.

Woods may now return to play in the Hero World Challenge, which is arranged by the golfer himself, or he may return in December at the PNC Championship.

Tiger Woods’ PGA Tour comeback draws closer as he’s spotted on the course with son Charlie Woods.

Tiger Woods was spotted out on the golf course with his son Charlie Woods over the weekend to the delight of millions of golf fans around the world.

The most-recent sighting of Tiger Woods came on Saturday August 19 as he watched his young cub Charlie, 14, in action.

Woods, 47, could be seen in full Nike Golf clothing standing right by a golf cart.

Charlie now competes in the boys’ 14-15 division on the Hurricane Junior Tour. To the surprise of nobody, his father is an investor.

The teenager actually won his latest event, marking his first win in the 36-hole tournament, posting a 1-under total to win by eight strokes.

Woods officially broke his silence over the PGA Tour’s shock merger with the Saudi Public Investment Fund earlier this month.

The 15-time major champion backed under fire commissioner Jay Monahan after he was confirmed as the PGA Tour’s latest policy board member.

Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods

Woods underwent ankle surgery on April 19 just days after withdrawing from The Masters.

He went under the knife in New York to address post-traumatic stress in his right ankle that was caused by the injuries he suffered when he crashed his SUV in the hills of Los Angeles in 2021.

It remains to be seen when Woods will return to PGA Tour action, with some speculating he may be able to make a competitive return at his annual Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas at the end of November.

There is also hope he will be able to peg it up with Charlie at the annual Father-Son PNC Championship in Orlando the week before Christmas.

Some ardent Tiger fans are also hoping he might rock up to support the 2023 US Ryder Cup team at Marco Simone Golf Club in Rome.

The PGA Tour recently revealed its 2024 schedule with some interesting twists including changes to Woods’ event at Riviera.

The much-anticipated news regarding the return of Tiger Woods has been in the air for some time, especially with the recent developments in the tech-focused golf league. Various sources have ensured his appearance in the TGL series which begins next year. But even so, the legendary golfer felt like its time to take things into his own hands as he gave an indication of his return a while back.

Forced away from the game in 2021, Tiger could not take to the golf course too much because of his many injuries, especially in his legs. But, an Instagram post uploaded not too long ago hinted at his comeback into the game, leaving many in the golfing community hopeful of his return.

Tiger Woods’ comeback saga continues

The GOAT of the game had made his comeback earlier last year with a game of good golf at the 2022 Masters with a T47 finish, scoring 13-over 301 at the Augusta National Golf course. Earlier this year, he had to pull out of the 2023 Masters on account of injury and since then he has not been seen in action. And in a surprise of sorts, the American golfer, a short while ago, was seen walking on a golf course. Now there is another strong hint.

An Instagram post was uploaded by twspot on Tuesday, a fan community dedicated to the legend. The video shows the camera focusing on his son Charlie as he drives the ball and then pans slowly to the professional golfer, who is observing the game beside the golf cart resting his leg on the same.

Tiger Woods

The video was shared with the caption “so awesome to see @tigerwoods out here today 🐅🐐 @fsga1913”. The video also had two superimposed photos at the bottom. One showed the father-son duo smiling at the camera while the other showed a signed Titleist hat, which belonged to his son Charlie.

It can be observed that the PGA star is slowly making his comeback to the game. Earlier, he had made the news thanks to the new league as it became known that the pro golfer would be competing in one of the teams in TGL. And in a piece of recent news, a billionaire has gone ahead to purchase one of the teams in the league.

Tiger brings in a new partner to TGL

Arthur Blank, the CEO of Home Depot, has managed to secure the rights for a team in the tech-focused league. The billionaire already owns Atlanta Falcons in the NFL and Atlanta United in the MLS and will unveil the new TGL team later this year to represent the same state. The partner worth $7b means a lot to the league as the Blank-owned AMB Sports and Entertainment partnered with TMRW Sports.

Any news regarding Woods’ comeback garners a lot of attention in the golfing world and the same is the case for his new venture, the TGL. Even though the 47-year-old had announced that he would likely be able to play the majors and appear in a few select tournaments due to his injuries, many of his fans are eager to watch the legend in play, even if it is for a short while.  What did you think of the video uploaded on the Instagram handle? Do you think he will be able to make a successful comeback after his complete recovery? Share your thoughts below.

Tiger Woods has been away from the golf course for the last few months due to an injury, resulting in him missing the US Ryder Cup standings. However, still, golfers have an opportunity to make it to the American team if skipper Zach Johnson picks them.

Woods has been struggling with his injury and has not played since April this year. He competed at the Masters but withdrew after playing a few holes in the third round.

There are slim odds that captain Johnson will select him if he is in good shape these days because there are other golfers, who are in outstanding form and can assist the American team to win the tournament in Rome.

Earlier this year, in a press conference, Zach Johnson spoke about Tiger Woods’ being on the Ryder Cup team. He said that he will consider the legendary golfer only if he is in good form. According to Eurosport, Johnson said:

“I would only contemplate having him on the team if he felt – if he was putting up some numbers and some scores, No. 1, where he’s showing some sign of being competitive. And then No. 2, that discussion would be had with the other guys that are a part of that team, and specifically him.”

The Ryder Cup has 12 members, out of which six are auto-qualified based on their performances, while six will be selected by the captain. Brian Harman, Wyndham Clark, Scottie Scheffler, Max Homa, Patrick Cantlay, and Xander Schaufele have qualified for the US team, while the remaining six will be announced by the captain after next week’s Tour Championship.

Tiger Woods‘ distaste for LIV Golf long predates the $3 Billion merger. He announced an innovative league of his own when the news about the Saudi-backed tour broke ground substantially. Even though Woods and Rory McIlroy‘s TGL isn’t going to be up and running till the beginning of 2024, the anticipation for the tech-based gameplay is extremely palpable.

As a steady competitor to LIV Golf despite the merger with the PGA Tour where Woods sits as a recently-appointed Player Director, the GOAT Golfer does not cease to deliver blows. A new piece of information has shaken the golfing community wherein the legendary golfer’s association with a giant will put LIV Golf in jeopardy.

Who is Tiger Woods’ newest $7 Billion partner?

Since the 3 player team announcement for TGL, sports personalities including tennis star Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian bought one of the teams. Now, a massive capitalist known in the business world for his keen sense of acquisition has purchased another team on TGL.

The acquisition by Billionaire Arthur Blank is another massive spike in cash flow for the 82-time PGA Tour winner’s brainchild. Blank has formerly invested in two sports leagues before, namely NFL’s Atlanta Falcons and Major League Soccer’s Atlanta United. He has decided to venture into Golf this time to support fellow billionaire Tiger Woods and his groundbreaking league.

Tiger Woods

The CEO of Home Depot has a reputation for his business acumen and this particular partnership with Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy promises a fruitful future for all parties. Most importantly, Tiger Woods seems to have delivered yet another blow to LIV Golf with this new tie-up.

The unique concept of Tiger Woods’ TGL

The innovative idea that drew the investor of NFL and MLS teams for a substantial investment in a TGL team is truly inspiring. To tackle slow play and unfavorable weather conditions, the legendary golfer has planned to a tee to surpass those drawbacks.

TGL is a tech-based team where groups of three will play against each other on Monday nights. There are talks about the games taking place in major stadiums in the United States. The play will take place on life-size simulators and some of the top players from the PGA Tour are already locked in. The golf world is abuzz with anticipation to see how the virtual play fares against country clubs hosting the royal sport.

We have witnessed the bonding and skills of Tiger Woods and his son Charlie on the golf course in a blend of experience and youthful energy. Even at the age of 14, Charlie’s golf skills are evident and applauded widely. If he continues at this rate, he could end up just as impressive as his dad in the world of golf.

But, there’s a fresh father-son duo making waves in the golf world: the LIV defector and his budding golfer son at an international event. It isn’t just about watching a golf match; it was about seeing a father and son share the same field, playing the game they both love.

Father-son duo takes the course together

The International Series golf event in England boasting a prize pool of $2M, got a special touch with Ian Poulter and his son Luke Poulter both playing a strong game together. Ian has made quite the name for himself in golf, especially from his Ryder Cup days and being a part of LIV Golf. But this tournament is special because he’s not just playing for himself, he’s watching his son Luke step up.

Luke is just 19 years old and is part of the University of Florida’s golf team. This is Luke’s debut in professional golf. There was a moment when it seemed Luke wouldn’t make the cut. But after hitting some really good shots with his dad cheering on the side, he finally made it through.

On Saturday, both father and son played hard. Ian finished with a score over par, while Luke did even better, finishing under par. Mike McAllister, the golf editor, shared an update on social media about the Poulter father-son team at the International Series in England. Ian Poulter, the experienced golfer, had scores of 69 and 70, putting him in a close race tied for 8th at three under par.

Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods

His son, Luke, didn’t have it easy with scores of 72 and 73, but he pulled through. On his last three holes, Luke managed an eagle, a birdie, and a par, getting him right on the cut line at three over. It’s clear both Poulter men brought their A-game to the event.

There were other father-son teams too, with the likes of Lee Westwood and his son Samuel. But Samuel didn’t manage to move to the next round. Lee did, but he had a tough day on Saturday. Davis Love III’s son, Dru, was also seen playing alongside his dad, but didn’t make it through.

It’s more than just golf

Tiger Woods teamed up with his son Charlie at the PNC Championship at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando, Grande Lakes in Florida in 2021. This was the first time Tiger played since his car accident in February. The father-son duo played really well, but ended up finishing second, with John Daly and his son taking home the win.

But, the Poulter duo seems to be catching everyone’s attention. Their skills on the green are evident, and the way they back each other is heartening. Winning and losing the game doesn’t matter, this duo gives inspiration to many father-son duos. Seeing a dad and son play together and root for each other is different from the usual tough golf matches. This game reminds us that sports go beyond just the scoreboard. It’s about the good times, the tough bits, and your family.

There’s no denying that whether he can win or not (it’s obviously more of the latter these days), Tiger Woods is the main attraction at every golf tournament he plays. Well, almost every one, anyway, as his son, Charlie Woods, overshadows his old man once a year at the PNC Championship, the annual exhibition that features pros teaming up with a family member for a fun 36-hole shootout.

And since Charlie made his debut at the event in 2020, he’s become an absolute star. While he may not be as good as Tiger was at that age, the soon-to-be 14-year-old has got plenty of game.

And let’s get real here. While Tiger was certainly well-known as a youngster, Charlie is much more famous than his dad was at that age. For one, times are just different, and there’s so much more media these days. And secondly, Charlie’s dad is a bit more famous than was Tiger’s. With no offense to the late Earl Woods, he wasn’t one of the most popular and recognizable athletes of all time.

With Charlie’s game developing, there has obviously been plenty of talk about his future in professional golf — if he chooses that path, that is. But he’s years away from even being eligible to attempt a career on the PGA Tour.

However, with NIL dollars now being a thing for amateur athletes, it’s not as if Charlie can’t make any of his own money before pursuing a pro career — again — if that’s what he decides to do. And it’s not that the younger Woods needs money, given that his famous father is one of the wealthiest athletes in history.

But if he wants to make his own cash, young Charlie will have to choose not to play golf in high school.

Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods

Why Charlie Woods can’t make NIL money if he plays high school golf

Like the amateur relatives of other famous athletes, specifically Arch Manning or Bronny James, Charlie Woods will likely receive plenty of lucrative NIL offers, perhaps even in the seven-figure range, when he’s eligible. And that day is coming soon as he’s set to start high school next year

Sam Weber, the senior communications director at NIL platform Opendorse, believes many of Tiger’s current sponsors, including Nike, could make offers to capitalize on the famous father-son connection. But there’s a catch.

If Charlie chooses to play golf for his high school team, he wouldn’t be eligible to earn any cash as Florida law doesn’t allow high school athletes to accept NIL money. However, with several junior golf circuits out there these days, the younger Woods has more options than your typical high-school golfer.

So Charlie will have a choice to make, as will Tiger. While he obviously doesn’t have a problem allowing his son to be in the public eye once a year at the PNC, he may not want — or allow — Charlie to accept these inevitable NIL offers anyway. Woods is famously a very private person and may not want to subject Charlie to the pitfalls that come with fame, especially at such a young age.

And, again, it’s not like the Woods family is hurting for money.

So just as it goes with everything else relating to Charlie Woods, we’ll just have to wait and see how this all plays out.

Charlie Woods often accompanies his father, Tiger Woods, in his tournaments, but missed the 2023 Masters 3-par contest held on April 5.

The contest started in 1960 and is a fun-filled event organized ahead of The Masters, where the golfers play a single round of nine holes, par-27 course. The major center of attraction in the competition is the family members of the golfers.
The 2023 edition of the tournament concluded on Wednesday with Tom Hoge registering a one-stroke victory over Kurt Kitayama and Bubba Watson. However, it was not the winner who got into the limelight at the contests, but the families, especially the young toddlers of the golfers, who became the talk of the town.
2022 Masters winner Scottie Scheffler played alongside his son, Sammy, while Rory McIlroy’s daughter Poppy joined him on the course. But Tiger Woods’ kids were missing from the tournament.
Charlie Woods rarely missed an opportunity to play with his father, but he opted out of the 2023 Masters Par-3 event. Although Woods has not revealed the reason behind the same, he probably wants to keep his son away from the controversies.

Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend Erica Herman sued the 15-time major champion last month. However, Woods is much more focused on his tournament and is looking forward to winning the green jacket and matching the record set by Jack Nicklaus. He keeps his personal life under the radar.

Charlie Woods missed the Masters Par-3 contest for undisclosed reasons. However, fans believe he might be busy with school and junior-level tournaments and will join his father as the tournament starts.

“I don’t know how many more I have in me”- Tiger Woods doubts the 2024 Masters return

With five green jackets, Tiger Woods has inscribed his name in the history of golf as one of the most successful golfers in the world. He undoubtedly wants to match the record set by Jack Nicklaus, who won six Masters. However, his health makes it harder for him to even stand on the golf course for a long time.

The 47-year-old is strictly committed to major tournaments in 2023, following his degrading health. Although Woods played at The Masters last year, he finished in 47th position.
