Raised in an unorthodox household with parents who were addicted, Simone Biles became a great sports icon. She moved between foster homes before being adopted by her grandparents(whom she now calls her parents). Adria Biles, her younger sister, stayed by her side and shared her struggles throughout these turbulent times, providing each other with a continual sense of support and encouragement. Together, the sisters grew into the best versions of themselves, loving and protecting one another.

Always by Simone’s side at girls’ get-togethers and family occasions which many of Simone’s followers must have noticed. Fresh off a victorious global meet, the 26-year-old gymnast spared some time hanging with her sister, sharing updates with her fans.
When Simone arrived home after becoming the most decorated gymnast in international competitions, her sister Adria was the first to greet her with a present. The younger sister went overboard to record a sweet message coupled with nature’s best gift. The Biles girls got together while Simone shared a story of Adria posing for the camera in her home and captioned it, “sister sister” with a double pink heart emoji. The boomerang showed Adria with closed eyes and a big smile cheering their drinks glass.
Following her return from the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships Adria posted an emotional Instagram post for her sister. Inside a gorgeous clear case marked “PRESSED FLORAL, a sentiment to last forever,” the well-preserved white hydrangeas sent a sentimental message while expressing the sisters’ close relationship. Upon her return, Simone posed with the framed bouquet, sporting a big smile happy with her unique gift.
However, just like any other sibling bond, they are also marked with some shenanigans and leg-pulling. While on a sushi date earlier this year, the girls had different takes on the Japanese treat. While Adria shared, “I think people who enjoy sushi are LYING,” Simone seemed to be enjoying it.
Adria teased her food choices by implying in her humorous caption that her older sister was part of the purported global sushi fandom. Despite seeing Adria around, not many know about her own athletic journey.

Living under the same roof since childhood, the two sisters, only a few years apart, had similar upbringings raising the potential that Adria Biles may become a professional gymnast like her sister Simone. When she was nine years old, she started gymnastics and worked her way up to the junior elite level before deciding to give up on the sport. In fact, Adria used to train with Simone until 2016. Adria changed careers last year, going from her sister’s sports to one in dental assisting and cleanliness.

Alongside her dentistry, Adria also performed at the exciting MLB game at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas as a part of the Houston Astros Shooting Stars dancing ensemble during home games. The Biles sisters have now discovered their own route in life after maturing into resilient adults who continuously rely on one another.

In the world of sports and entertainment, the influence of pop icon Taylor Swift has proven to be extraordinary, extending beyond music and reaching into the realms of sports fandom and even fashion.

Notably, her presence at the NFL games of her new partner, Travis Kelce, has had a significant impact.

The Kansas City Chiefs star saw a surge in the sales of his jerseys as a result of Swift‘s attendance at his games.

Furthermore, the prices of tickets to matches at Arrowhead Stadium, where Taylor Swift was rumored to be present, reached astonishing heights.

The phenomenon of Swift‘s influence on the sports world is not limited to her partner’s games, as she has also been spotted with various sports and entertainment figures.

For instance, she has been photographed with Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is a prominent entrepreneur and lifestyle figure.

Swift‘s social circle expands to Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, further demonstrating her ability to bridge the divide between entertainment and sports.

Simone Biles wants to meet Taylor Swift

Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, who is married to Jonathan Owens, a safety for the Green Bay Packers, is a regular attendee at the Wisconsin team’s games.

Biles was asked on ‘The Today Show’ about a potential encounter between Swift and herself at the upcoming Packers vs Chiefs game.

“I actually will be going to that game,” she replied, confirming she could try to meet the pop idol.

Despite the excitement surrounding this potential meeting, fans will have to be patient, as it is not scheduled until December 3.

Both Swift and Biles are currently on hiatus, with the former taking a break ahead of the international leg of her Eras Tour and with the latter resting after an impressive showing at the World Championships.

They don’t give out medals for verbal gymnastics, but if they did, one Republican congressman might have taken the gold based on his CNN interview on Wednesday.

Amazingly, Rep. Austin Scott (R-Ga.) tried to blame the current House speaker debacle on Democrats, even though Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz masterminded the effort to removeRep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) from the job.

In the process, he engaged in what anchor Brianna Keilar called “verbal gymnastics” in an attempt to do what members of his party have done recently: blame the opposite party for a situation started and exacerbated by his Republican colleagues.

“The Democrats knew what they were doing when they put up 208 votes to take him out of the speakership, and that’s what created the current situation,” said Scott, who briefly made a run at speaker himself.

Keilar noted, “They didn’t take him out of the speakership. [The Republicans] are the majority.”

“Just factually speaking, there were only eight Republicans and there were 208 Democrats,” Scott said, while ignoring the vote to remove McCarthy came at the behest of those eight Republicans.

Keilar pressed him: “But sir, who’s in the majority?”

“Well, the Democrats were the majority of that vote,” he said, ignoring her point that Republicans currently have a slim majority of the House.

“No,” Keilar said. “Who’s in the majority in the House of Representatives?”

Simone Biles’

“The Republicans are in the majority,” Scott conceded. “But Democrats provided the majority of the votes to take Kevin McCarthy out of the speakership.”

Keilar pointed out that “the Republicans provided the key votes” and added, “They’re in the majority. They can provide enough votes, obviously, to put a Republican speaker in place.”

Scott doubled down, noting that Democrats provided 96% of the votes to remove McCarthy, at which point Keilar referred to what he was saying as “some interesting verbal gymnastics.”

He wasn’t happy to be called out.

“What do you mean? I’m just calling out the facts,” Scott said, before once again noting the large number of Democratic votes to remove McCarthy.

“I’m talking about how it works,” Keliar explained to the congressman, before offering a civics lesson. “And that is, the majority in the House of Representatives ― your party ― is responsible for electing the speaker, not the Democrats.”

Although Scott may be the Simone Biles of verbal gymnastics, his comments didn’t get much support from the judges on X, formerly known as Twitter — including former Republican congressman Joe Walsh, who chastised Scott for not taking responsibility for the speakership debacle.

The gymnastics champion, 26, posted a selfie of her in the middle of a training session on Tuesday, just over a week after her winning turn at the World Gymnastics Championships in Belgium earlier this month.

In the Instagram Stories snap, Biles pouted at the camera as she posed inside a gym. She wore a black and white leotard and a couple of sweatbands on each wrist.

Besides achieving medals, the 2023 world championships were special for Simone Biles for many other reasons. By competing in Antwerp, she completed a circle of 10 years of her world-stage career that began in the Belgium city in 2013.

Moreover, Biles got another skill named after her as she attempted the Yurchenko double pike vault, a skill mostly performed by men. She gracefully displayed the move at the all-around event and got it named after her as Biles II.

Expressing her gratitude for her world championship experience, she wrote in her Instagram post:

“world championships!!!!! whew, Antwerp will always hold a special place in my heart. The first time I got a skill named after me was in this arena & 10 years later I got my 5th skill named…”She also added:

“I’m speechless. I’m honored. I’m excited and I’m blessed! doing it for the little girl who fell in love with the sport!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the love & support 🖤”

Simone Biles is well aware of her successful World Championships campaign in Antwerp, an effort that saw her claim four gold medals across four different disciplines.

The American artistic gymnast is regarded by many as the greatest of all-time and as she targets a spot on the USA’s roster for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, she made a strong stake for her claim.

She took the top prize across in the teams category, all-around, balance beam and the floor exercise to take her 23rd gold at the Worlds and her 39th senior career medal.

“World championships!!!!!,” Biles wrote on Instagram. “Whew Antwerp will always hold a special place in my heart. The first time I got a skill named after me was in this arena & 10 years later I got my 5th skill named.

“I’m speechless. I’m honored. I’m excited and I’m blessed.

Biles’ Antwerp success

The American qualified in first place at the all-around final, scoring 58.932, just shy of two points clear of her teammate Shilese Jones.

She would, in fact, qualify first for every event with the exception of the uneven bars as she demonstrated her high standards of quality. In the process, she became the only gymnast to qualify for all of the finals of the individual events at the 2023 Worlds.

Simone Biles’

At the all-around, Biles executed each of her routines to win gold, except a slight stumble on her floor exercises, and she helped USA claim a seventh consecutive team medal.

The 26-year-old fell at the Yurchenko double pike but went on to win silver in the vault with a score of 14.549, just 0.201 behind the winning athlete, Rebeca Andrade.

She narrowly edged out Zhou Yaqin by a tenth in the balance beam final, showing that she was capable of handling the heat when it was brought to her.

Suni Lee has gained rapid fame over the years thanks to her exceptional skills in the sport of artistic gymnastics and her enthusiastic personality. As is the case with fame, it came combined with a closer look at her personal life. Last January, it was revealed via her Instagram that the American gymnast was in a relationship with Jaylin Smith.

Smith is a student-athlete who plays American football as a sophomore safety for the University of Southern California Trojans. As a senior in high school, he received nine university offers in total and chose to go to USC to play for the Trojans.

Lee’s boyfriend Jaylin Smith had his career boosted from an appearance on Snoop Dogg’s Netflix docuseries, Coach Snoop

Prior to his college career, Smith starred on Snoop Dogg’s Netflix docuseries, Coach Snoop, which followed the progress of young footballers from across the country.

The show also covered the tragic passing of Smith’s mother and how the young athlete tried to deal with his grief while maintaining his form. Towards the end of the show, he helped his team win the title and came out as a national prospect who saw multiple college offers.

“Oh man, it was a blessing. A young kid from where I’m from, you never really get that opportunity to play at a high level … For sure, I don’t know what I would be doing without them…they got me far. They exposed me to different, other people you know, other people seeing who I was…it helped me out tremendously in the long run.”

Suni LeeSuni Lee and Jaylen Smith faced backlash after making their relationship public

The pair made their relationship public in December 2021 via their social media platforms. Soon after, the pair found themselves on the receiving end of hateful comments detailing their interracial relationship.

Lee addressed this under the comments section of a TikTok video posted by a user in support of the athlete and her relationship. The user said:

“I know that Sunisa will be judged by certain eyes in the Hmong American Community because her man is Black … LOVE is LOVE, no matter what race or gender you are. Keep doing you QUEEN.”

“This makes me so happy. I’ve received so much hate … They support me when it’s beneficial for them, never when it comes to my happiness. Thank you!”

Lee had previously opened up to Popsugar about racial hatred directed at her because of her Asian descent. She recalled an incident that involved a car full of goons harassing her and her friends after a night out. The group was waiting for their Uber when a car full of goons hurled racist comments at them, saying things like “chingchong” and “go back to where they came from”. The Olympian said:

“I was so mad, but there was nothing I could do or control because they skirted off … I didn’t do anything to them, and having the reputation, it’s so hard because I didn’t want to do anything that could get me into trouble. I just let it happen.”

Life is never a bed of roses for athletes and 20-year-old Olympian Suni Lee realized the same. Recently, Suni Lee’s gymnastics career came to an unexpected halt. Diagnosed with kidney disease, Lee put the breaks on her training for the Paris Olympics 2024. Currently receiving treatment for this issue, Lee is focusing on her recovery. This break made Lee fondly recall her gymnastics performance in a recent Instagram post. Reacting to this post, many fans got nostalgic and told Lee to return to collegiate gymnastics.

Post this, competing in uneven bars against LSU in 2023, Lee managed to score a perfect 10. The Auburn Tigers gymnast also competed against Alabama at the Coleman Coliseum, where she scored a perfect 10 against them twice. Aware of these spectacular performances by Lee in collegiate gymnastics, nostalgic fans wished Lee to make a comeback in collegiate gymnastics and passed intriguing and entertaining comments.
A fan requested Lee, “Please come back after the olympics.” Echoing a similar opinion, a fan responded, “Just come back. War Eagle!” Post this, a fan wistfully said, “We miss watching your energy out on that gymnastics floor. You’ll be back after the Olympics right?”

I’ll be cheering you on in your quest for Paris.” Post this, a fan also gave her a heartwarming compliment, “Ridiculous how good you are. Incredible to watch the entire team push each other to be amazing. War Eagle. But for real you defy physics.”
