Olympic gymnastics all-around champion Suni Lee revealed that at the height of dealing with a kidney disease last year, she questioned whether a return to top form was even possible.

“My motivation started to fall,” Lee said this week at the Team USA media summit.

“I could not bend my legs the slightest, I couldn’t squeeze my fingers, my face was swollen,” Lee said, noting she retained 45 pounds in water weight. “I looked like a completely different person. It was very, very miserable.”

She said she lived with constant pain, nausea and lightheadedness.

“We have it under control now,” she said. “We know what to do and the right medication to take.”

The then-18-year-old Lee was thrust into the spotlight at the Tokyo Games when teammate and reigning Olympic champion Simone Biles unexpectedly dropped out in the middle of the team final, citing her mental health. Lee hadn’t been in the original lineup for the U.S. team’s floor exercise but scored a team-best 13.666 to help the Americans claim a silver medal.

A few days later, Lee became the fifth straight American woman to win the Olympic all-around title, using a dazzling set on uneven bars — her signature event — to edge Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade in a tight final that turned Lee into a star.

On to Auburn University she went, but she left the Tigers upon falling ill after her sophomore season last year. She was never a sure thing to come back for Paris, but now she’s expected to make the U.S. team, along with Biles, who is coming back as well.

“Initially I decided I wanted to come back because I really was only getting better and I love gymnastics,” Lee said. “I was not ready to be done and I wanted to prove to myself that I could be better than I was at the last Olympics.”

Lee is working on a new bars move that, if she pulls it off in an international competition, could be named after her in the sport’s Code of Points.

She said she had a strong support system back home in Minneapolis, which helped her get back on the road to the Olympics.

“I was learning my new skill and I was still able to catch it even at less than 100%,” she said. “It made me realize how much better I was than I thought.”

Simone Biles may have brought her husband, Jonathan Owens, some good luck on Sunday.

The 26-year-old gymnast was in attendance at Lambeau Field as Owens, 28, and the Green Bay Packers defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 23-20.

Biles posted a photo of the Packers’ field to her Instagram story and shared a sweet snap from the sidelines as she greeted her husband for a kiss.

She also reposted a story from her seat at the stadium next to Victoria Schulz, who is engaged to Owens’ teammate, Packers guard Jon Runyan Jr.

The two were all smiles as they supported their beaus at the game, which came down to the final minutes before Green Bay pulled out the win.

The Packers current record is 4-6 on the season.

“Beautiful day for some GB football,” Schulz wrote over a video on her Instagram Story with Biles at the game.

Biles and Owens — who was playing for their hometown Houston Texans when they met — have been navigating the first few months of their relationship becoming long-distance since the NFL player signed with the Packers in May.

The pair have recently been celebrating the holidays, dressing up in matching Halloween costumes and even posing for an adorable fall-inspired photoshoot in early November.

In October, Biles opened up on the Today show about how her perspective on gymnastics has changed since getting married.

“Gymnastics is just something I get to come in and have the privilege of doing. I don’t feel like it’s the end all be all anymore, as before I kind of felt like that,” Biles explained at the time. “I get to go home to my husband, to my dogs, to my house and all of the things. So it feels really good.”

“It’s been really fun supporting what he loves to do,” she added. “Obviously, he’s in Green Bay right now so my season just ended. I’m super excited to get out there to Green Bay for the holidays to support him.”

Biles snagged her eighth national title last month at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships and became the most decorated U.S. gymnast in world championships history.

“I think sometimes, you black out whenever all those things happen,” Biles said after her win, as reported by USA Today. “I also think whenever I won those titles back in the day, we were focusing on the next thing. What’s next? … We never got to settle in and celebrate that.”

Simone Biles is sharing a glimpse into her dream home!

The Olympic gold medalist, 26, shared an update on Friday to her Instagram of how construction is going on her new Texas home that she and her husband Jonathan Owens are building — and even shared an inside look at one of the larger rooms.

In the opening shot of the carousel, Biles could be seen smiling widely in a selfie as she holds the keys to the home in one hand. The photo is tilted upward and shows the complicated base construction work for the walls and roofing of one of the rooms, along with large sliding doors already built in.

She shared a better look at the space in another shot, showing smaller windows built near the roof, with larger transparent sliding doors set up below. The room appears likely to be the living room or another large gathering room once completed, as there also seemed to be a fireplace setup.

She then showed a shot at a much smaller room with similar transparent sliding doors leading out to a patio and view of some greenery and a lake. The carousel also included a snap at her dirty construction boots next to some black Prada slides.

“eeeeeeeppppp 🛠️🏠😌,” Biles captioned the Instagram post.

She also revealed that the house was yet another step closer to completion on her Instagram Story by sharing a look at one of the rooms getting a drywall put up over the wooden structural base.

The gymnast appeared to be emotional at the progress, writing, “We have drywall,” alongside a crying face emoji.

The update is a jump from the ones she showed last month on her Instagram Story, which showed the unfinished exterior of her abode that was still covered in plaster and surrounded by leveled dirt. She also unveiled the bare wooden beams in the interior space and revealed that the “frames for the sliding doors are in.”

Continuing the tour with a photo that showed a door frame and high ceilings starting to take shape, the newlywed wrote, “Can’t decide if this is the hallway of my dreams or the ones that are in my nightmares lmao.”

The Olympian and Green Bay Packers player, 28, first teased they were building a house together in September when she posted a carousel of photos captioned, “Loading… 🏠🤍🛠.”

The post included a photo of the pair holding hands at the construction site along with a shot of Owens walking through the empty hallways of his soon-to-be pad.

The couple recently got legally married at the 1910 Harris County Courthouse in Houston in April, just one month before tying the knot again in an elaborate ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

“I do 🤍 officially owens 🤍,” she captioned a romantic set of images of herself and the NFL player on Instagram after their courthouse wedding.

On his respective Instagram page, Owens shared a similar selection of shots, including more behind-the-scenes looks at the couple saying “I do.” “My person, forever ❤️💍,” he captioned his post, adding two hashtags: “#TheOwens” and “#ItsOfficial.”
