“He can’t stay ” In rescheduled bout Mike Tyson, 57, wants to fight A J if he knocks out Jake Paul

The former undisputed heavyweight champion is set to return to the ring in November for a controversial crossover clash with Jake Paul.

Iron Mike has got himself in tip-top shape for his first foray to the ring since his Covid clash with Roy Jones Jr in November 2020.

And the International Boxing Hall of Famer, 57, has grand plans to share the ring with Joshua – albeit in a charity bout.

When asked about the prospect of sharing the ring with AJ for a good cause, he told TMZ: “I’m very interested.

“If doing that means we can have a bigger charity exponent, well so be it, I’m down to do that, too.

“I would love to [fight Joshua]. That would be mind-blowing.”

Before he can think of a charity clash with AJ, Tyson must first get through YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul – who will be 31 YEARS his junior on fight night.

And former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua admits he has concerns for Tyson’s health.

During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, the 34-year-old said: “He’s [Mike Tyson] older now.

“I pray that he comes out healthy. I think Jake Paul because of youth – that’s the only thing.”

No Doubt ” Anthony Joshua Would Knockout Tyson Fury Former Heavyweight Champion Has No Doubt

The teams of Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are adamant that the two will star in an all-British heavyweight clash before retirement.

Fans are a little more skeptical given the fight has failed to cross the line on a number of occasions, but with Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Season now dictating the heavyweight division, and doing so through top matchmaking, it becomes a little more likely.

The two former champions have both now been relieved of their belts by Oleksandr Usyk. The Ukrainian took Joshua’s unified titles back in 2021 and became undisputed this year by winning Fury’s WBC.

Although Fury has a contracted rematch clause – as did ‘AJ’ back in 2022, a second loss – the Joshua fight will be there next year and it’s last chance saloon to make it.

Should it happen, the man credited with causing the biggest upset the heavyweight division has ever seen, James Buster Douglas, backed ‘AJ’ to score the stoppage in an interview with Gambling Zone.

“Right now I think AJ beats Fury. It’s not that Fury is on the decline, he just no longer has that strength to withstand that force. Once you start putting your punches together, he tends to get weak as the fight goes on and his power levels start faltering.

It’s a strong possibility that AJ would Fury out, I think he would. He would definitely take Fury out. It would not go the distance, AJ would knock him out.”

Douglas, who shocked the world when he knocked Mike Tyson out in 1990 to become undisputed, believes that this generation of heavyweights pales in comparison to his own.

“I speak to my trainer about today’s heavyweights and he has a low opinion of them and says they [Fury and AJ] wouldn’t have been in the top 30 in my era, I have to agree. They have skills, but as far as endurance, I don’t know. They don’t seem to be able to withstand power and aggressiveness.”

“Of Course He Can Do It” Tony Bellew Predicts Tyson Fury-Oleksandr Usyk Rematch

Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury delivered a heavyweight bout worthy of the rarely seen undisputed championship, with the Ukrainian coming out on top and taking home all four belts.

Despite Fury’s success in the middle rounds, landing some uppercuts that hurt Usyk considerably, the now undisputed champion found a higher gear and scored a thrilling knockdown in the ninth before winning a split decision on the scorecards.

The Brit has now activated his contractual clause for a second fight. Speaking to IFL TV, Bellew said ‘of course’ he has a chance in the rematch.

“No shame in that, and of course he can win the rematch. Any fighter can come back. The mark of a man is how he comes back from defeat.”

Despite that, the former cruiserweight champion who lost to Usyk in his final fight still predicts it will be repeat rather than revenge.

“Based on the last performance, no, you can’t make a call for that. But has he got a chance? 100% … Oleksandr Usyk. What a guy, what a man. The greatest cruiserweight, and let me tell you he’ll go down as one of the greatest heavyweights as well.”

Dubois will fight for IBF title Eddie Hearn confident Joshua,

Anthony Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has expressed confidence that his client and Daniel Dubois will most likely fight for the IBF title currently held by Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Dubois won the interim IBF heavyweight title on June 1 with a stunning eighth-round TKO victory over the previously undefeated Filip Hrgovic in Saudi Arabia.

SunSport reports that Joshua and Dubois are now in talks over a huge domestic dust-up at Wembley on either October 20 or 21 and Hearn is confident that the IBF title will be on the line.

“Will the Joshua-Dubois fight be for a title? For that, we need Usyk to be honest and admit that he doesn’t want to fight Dubois, who is the mandatory challenger. Usyk should fight him, but he has a rematch with Fury.

“Joshua and Dubois will fight for the IBF title, while all other belts will be on the line in the Usyk-Fury rematch. Then, the winners of these fights could face each other for the undisputed championship,” said Hearn.

The rematch between Usyk and Tyson Fury is scheduled for December 21, a month after Joshua and Dubois’ proposed bout.

Joshua has rediscovered himself with four wins on the bounce, the most recent being his brutal second-round KO of former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

However, he’s refusing to overlook Dubois, who bounced back from his TKO loss to Usyk with successive stoppages of Jarrell Miller and Hrgovic.

The former two-time unified heavyweight champion said, “I’ve got to pick them off one by one.

“It’s not going to be easy, but that’s my mentality. So come one, come all… He (Dubois) has been in tougher fights, so he becomes hardened.

“He has worked his way up the ladder, we’ll see what happens in the near future. Wembley, O2, York Hall – wherever they put me, I’m happy to fight. Any venue, I’ll turn up and do my job.”

“I’m Obsessed With Him” Heavyweight Contender Vows To ‘Kick Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua is in high demand amongst heavyweight contenders, with a win providing a mega payday and a seat at the division’s top table. Some just want to ‘kick his ass.’

The two-time world champion is currently on the up. Following two losses to now-undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk, ‘AJ’ has been on a run of four wins, each more impressive than the last.

With potentially a few years left before retirement, the Brit’s current goal is to win the world title once more. He would also like the fight against countryman Tyson Fury and potentially a third crack at Usyk.

If there’s a desire to settle any bad blood, he may just look to Jarrell Miller. The American was set to welcome AJ to New York back in 2019 before testing positive for numerous banned substances. He was pulled from the fight and replaced by Andy Ruiz, who handed Joshua his first loss.

Speaking on the Mics podcast, Miller explained when and why he first became ‘obsessed’ with the career of Joshua.

“I’m good at reading people … I Googled him and I got obsessed with watching all of his interviews, because he was an Olympian and I watch all Olympic fights. They gave him two [wins] even when he lost in London, they gave him the Gold Medial.

I’m like you give this guy too much, he’s a good fighter but he’s not super great. I’m like aight, this the guy I’m gonna aim at. He kept winning so I’m coming for his head.”

He then confidently predicted that the fight would happen one day, believing he is only one of a few opponents Joshua can really sell a fight with.

“Don’t get it messed up, I’m obsessed with kicking his ass though. That’s gonna happen one of these days … There’s not a lot of fights for him to be in that are gonna be blockbusters.”

Following that interview, ‘Big Baby’ was defeated by Daniel Dubois. He has since confirmed ‘AJ’ is still on his hit-list, and has a fight against the Brit’s previous opponent Ruiz on August 3 to prove he deserves it.

“It’s Transformed Him” Lennox Lewis Knows The Reason For Anthony Joshua’s Resurgence

It’s no secret that Lennox Lewis and Anthony Joshua haven’t always seen eye to eye.

Former undisputed champion and widely revered all-time great Lewis has had plenty to say about Joshua in the past. Even as recently as ahead of his last fight in March, Lewis poured scorn on ‘AJ’ for choosing an opponent he thought had ‘no credibility’ in Francis Ngannou.

Regardless of that, ‘AJ’ scored an impressive knockout win over the former MMA star to complete four solid victories in a year with two of the other three also being stoppages against Robert Helenius and Otto Wallin.

The most recent wins came with new coach Ben Davison in ‘AJ’s corner – the man many are crediting with turning his form around after the back-to-back losses he took to Oleksandr Usyk.

Speaking to Boxing King Media, Lewis was asked if he saw improvements in Joshua under Davison and pinpointed his ‘winning mentality’ as the key factor for the change around.

“I think his transformation in his last couple of fights was his winning mentality.

I see it in him, he’s more focused, he’s more serious, so I’m happy he has a good guy in his corner that can give him good information that he can work off.”

Terence Crawford Has No Doubt Who Shakur Stevenson’s Toughest Opponent Will Be

Terence Crawford has seen the skillset of Shakur Stevenson up close and personal.

The two world champions are friends and occasional sparring partners despite the difference in weight, often sharpening their tools ahead of high-level title bouts.

Stevenson is currently WBC Champion at 135, the division in which ‘Bud’ Crawford won his first world honours before conquering 140 and 147.

With some of the best defence in boxing today, not many at lightweight are given much of a chance of getting close to him, but Crawford is under no illusions of the threat of one Gervonta Davis.

Speaking on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, the two-weight undisputed champion praised ‘Tank.’

“One thing I can say about Tank is he’s smart, he can box, and he’s explosive. I see that being Shakur’s toughest fight, because of the power. Everybody know Tank punchin’.”

Shakur Stevenson is a much sought after fight ,one with brewing social media beef and an incredible level of talent. Both undefeated, should they meet just now it would be a lightweight unification with Davis bringing the WBA belt to the table.

Unfortunately, promotional politics have stood in the way in the past. That may change given Stevenson has one fight left in his deal with Top Rank. In the meantime, he defends his belt in July against Artem Harutyunyan.

First up is ‘Tank’, who faces fellow undefeated southpaw and the man who beat Harutyunyan, Frank Martin, on June 15.

It is Rare ” Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney put differences aside to fight for what’s rightfully theirs

Boxing rivals Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney have united to demand payment for their highly anticipated fight, putting aside their differences to tackle a shared issue. Both fighters claim they have not received their earnings from Golden Boy Promotions(GBP) and DAZN, nearly two months after their clash in the ring.

Ryan Garcia, fresh off his surprising victory over Devin Haney, took to social media on June 8 to express his frustration. Despite reportedly earning $50 million for the fight, including a payout from betting on himself, Garcia says he has yet to see a dime. His tweet read: “Still no check from @GoldenBoyBoxing and @DAZN. This is unacceptable. Where’s my money?” This public call-out has stirred the boxing community, with fans and fellow athletes expressing their shock and support.

Devin Haney, who faced Garcia in the controversial fight, quickly joined the conversation. Just minutes after Garcia’s tweet, Haney confirmed that he, too, had not been paid. He retweeted Garcia’s post with a simple “Same,” signaling his own dissatisfaction with the situation. Haney has had previous disputes with GBP, criticizing their professionalism, but this public alignment with Garcia adds weight to their claims.

Haney’s confirmation validates story due to rivalry with Garcia

The alliance between Garcia and Haney is surprising, given their fierce rivalry. However, their shared frustration with GBP and DAZN has brought them together in a quest for justice. Garcia’s involvement is particularly notable, as he is one of the most prominent faces of Oscar De La Hoya’s promotion. This situation raises questions about the internal operations of these high-profile boxing promotions.

As fans eagerly await responses from GBP and DAZN, the focus has shifted from the ring to the business dealings behind the scenes. The drama surrounding unpaid dues continues to unfold, keeping the boxing world on edge.

“He’s A Wrecking Machine”Tony Bellew Predicts ‘Brutal KO’ In Joshua-Dubois Fight

Boxing fans may be in for an all-British banger this September if Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois can reach terms to face off at Wembley Stadium.

Dubois is riding high off of a career-best win over Filip Hrgovic in which he snatched the IBF Interim World title, making him mandatory challenger for Oleksandr Usyk again after losing to him last year.

Should the belt go vacant, the teams are working on Joshua facing Dubois for it. If it happens, Tony Bellew told IFL TV ‘AJ’ becomes a three-time world champion, even despite reserving high praise for ‘DDD’.

“Daniel Dubois – I can’t write him off ever again unless he’s facing AJ, Usyk or Fury. I can’t write him off again. If he fights AJ next, I’m sorry to say it but it ends quickly and brutally [for AJ].

Purely based on the fact of let’s just put two and two together here. He took 56 clean right hands in the firs four [Hrgovic] rounds. You’ll get away with one or two with AJ and then what happens? You just go to sleep.

I take nothing away from him. Amazing heart, amazing resilience and huge amount of courage shown against Filip Hrgovic. But it’s one thing Filip Hrgovic hitting you, it’s another thing a wrecking machine like Anthony Joshua hitting you.”

“He’s Vulnerable” Barry McGuigan Gives Anthony Joshua-Daniel Dubois Verdict

Daniel Dubois could be in for the fight of his career against Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium this September, with the added bonus of a vacant heavyweight title.

The 26-year-old Brit picked up the IBF Interim Heavyweight title by beating Filip Hrgovic in a campaign-best performance. Given undisputed champ Oleksandr Usyk will rematch Tyson Fury this year rather than fulfilling his mandatory obligations, there’s a real possibility the IBF belt will become vacant.

Dubois then would face the next available contender for it, namely Anthony Joshua.

Hall of Famer Barry McGuigan discussed Dubois in his latest column for the Mirror, praising the development of the man his son Shane once trained.

“Daniel Dubois did not look destined for heavyweight glory when counted out in the ninth round against Oleksandr Usyk in Poland last year.

Ten months and two wins later he is once more looking to etch his name amongst the elite. As we know Dubois has the power to trouble any, but now he is adding experience to the mix.

Filip Hrgovic was winning the fight in Saudi Arabia last week until he got cut. But Dubois took his shots well and never looked hurt. He beat the guy without being spectacular, which showed a certain degree of improvement.

Boxing is more than brute force. It’s a chess game played with fists. Dubois always had a tendency to be too eager. He throws bombs like he’s on a mission. Effective against lesser opponents, but against the top guys that can be a recipe for disaster.”

Whilst not going as far to make a solid prediction, the fighter turned manager and promoter said there was a ‘chink in the armour’ of ‘AJ’ stemming from a shock knockout loss to Andy Ruiz in 2019. It’s something he feels the younger man can exploit.

“Now he is in line for a shot at Anthony Joshua. And if he gets through to Joshua’s chin then its game on. Joshua is the more complete fighter, marginally quicker. And he has rebuilt impressively since he lost for the second time to Usyk.

There is, however, still a chink in his armour first exposed by Andy Ruiz that makes him vulnerable to the kind of power packed by Dubois.

Most would still take Joshua to win. But nothing is a given if Dubois can back up his Hrgovic victory with another mature performance.”
