“Just Come Back” : As Suni Lee Struggles with Kidney Disease, Gymnastics Fans Urge For Her Comeback

Life is never a bed of roses for athletes and 20-year-old Olympian Suni Lee realized the same. Recently, Suni Lee’s gymnastics career came to an unexpected halt. Diagnosed with kidney disease, Lee put the breaks on her training for the Paris Olympics 2024. Currently receiving treatment for this issue, Lee is focusing on her recovery. This break made Lee fondly recall her gymnastics performance in a recent Instagram post. Reacting to this post, many fans got nostalgic and told Lee to return to collegiate gymnastics.

Post this, competing in uneven bars against LSU in 2023, Lee managed to score a perfect 10. The Auburn Tigers gymnast also competed against Alabama at the Coleman Coliseum, where she scored a perfect 10 against them twice. Aware of these spectacular performances by Lee in collegiate gymnastics, nostalgic fans wished Lee to make a comeback in collegiate gymnastics and passed intriguing and entertaining comments.
A fan requested Lee, “Please come back after the olympics.” Echoing a similar opinion, a fan responded, “Just come back. War Eagle!” Post this, a fan wistfully said, “We miss watching your energy out on that gymnastics floor. You’ll be back after the Olympics right?”

Afterwards, a fan wrote, “Ngl, I’ll miss you seeing you compete with collegiate gymnastics. Your smile was THE best at those meets. I’ll be cheering you on in your quest for Paris.” Post this, a fan also gave her a heartwarming compliment, “Ridiculous how good you are. Incredible to watch the entire team push each other to be amazing. War Eagle. But for real you defy physics.”
