The much-anticipated news regarding the return of Tiger Woods has been in the air for some time, especially with the recent developments in the tech-focused golf league. Various sources have ensured his appearance in the TGL series which begins next year. But even so, the legendary golfer felt like its time to take things into his own hands as he gave an indication of his return a while back.

Forced away from the game in 2021, Tiger could not take to the golf course too much because of his many injuries, especially in his legs. But, an Instagram post uploaded not too long ago hinted at his comeback into the game, leaving many in the golfing community hopeful of his return.

Tiger Woods’ comeback saga continues

The GOAT of the game had made his comeback earlier last year with a game of good golf at the 2022 Masters with a T47 finish, scoring 13-over 301 at the Augusta National Golf course. Earlier this year, he had to pull out of the 2023 Masters on account of injury and since then he has not been seen in action. And in a surprise of sorts, the American golfer, a short while ago, was seen walking on a golf course. Now there is another strong hint.

An Instagram post was uploaded by twspot on Tuesday, a fan community dedicated to the legend. The video shows the camera focusing on his son Charlie as he drives the ball and then pans slowly to the professional golfer, who is observing the game beside the golf cart resting his leg on the same.

The video was shared with the caption “so awesome to see @tigerwoods out here today 🐅🐐 @fsga1913”. The video also had two superimposed photos at the bottom. One showed the father-son duo smiling at the camera while the other showed a signed Titleist hat, which belonged to his son Charlie.

It can be observed that the PGA star is slowly making his comeback to the game. Earlier, he had made the news thanks to the new league as it became known that the pro golfer would be competing in one of the teams in TGL. And in a piece of recent news, a billionaire has gone ahead to purchase one of the teams in the league.

Tiger brings in a new partner to TGL

Arthur Blank, the CEO of Home Depot, has managed to secure the rights for a team in the tech-focused league. The billionaire already owns Atlanta Falcons in the NFL and Atlanta United in the MLS and will unveil the new TGL team later this year to represent the same state. The partner worth $7b means a lot to the league as the Blank-owned AMB Sports and Entertainment partnered with TMRW Sports.

Any news regarding Woods’ comeback garners a lot of attention in the golfing world and the same is the case for his new venture, the TGL. Even though the 47-year-old had announced that he would likely be able to play the majors and appear in a few select tournaments due to his injuries, many of his fans are eager to watch the legend in play, even if it is for a short while.  What did you think of the video uploaded on the Instagram handle?
